  • Costs: Train tickets run between $16 (a cabin for four) to $70 (a deluxe cabin for two) each way, per person; some people reserve the whole cabin for themselves, especially if two or more or traveling together. One for self, other births for traveling companions, and the empties for privacy (or for extra luggage!) We no longer provide escort service for the train since train travel is more friendly and safe these days and since flights are more readily available.
  • While on your way to the train station or prior to putting your luggage into the vehicle, remove all tags from your luggage. Tags draw unnecessary attention and could provide your address to undesirables.
  • Also remember that the train station (as with train stations around the world) is filled with people, young and old, waiting to find an easy mark and help separate him or her from his wallet, handbag, luggage, etc.
  • Be ready to walk a distance and walk fast!!! If you take a porter, he will just take off and you don't want to lose sight of him and the person accompanying him because they will have all your possessions. You should make sure you have your passport with you and any other important papers or documents.
