Quite by accident - searching for something completely unrelated - I discovered that this "Open Letter" had been written.  And it is "new" from only a few days ago.

Well, okay.  ...I will respond, and post my "Open Letter Response" back on www.creationism.org.

======

Dear "Plumbobb",

Firstly, all very good points.

To look at modern human physiology is to see numerous flaws and genetic coding errors.  Why, one might think that we had fallen from our potential, or something like that!  Or that we may be some 200 copies down (with help from cosmic radiation, bad diets, and poor sanitation over multiple generations to boot) - from the original (perfect) models:  Adam & Eve.  200 successive copies is a lot, of course.  And gosh, the number of diseases out there appear to be increasing, not decreasing.  Perhaps a version of "bird flu" will soon join the others.  That is a genetic trend downward, not upward.  Poor eyesight, often heredity.  Diabetes, often heredity.  Certain types of cancer, often heredity.  Evolution is not true is it?; we're going downward, not up by some fanciful evolutionary fable.

Sin.

You are not accounting for the obvious reason for the faults!

Look at the Biblical account!  In Genesis 2 & 3 we see paradise, a garden of perfection.  No cooking, no clothing needs, evidently no home construction, or other toilsome work.  Paradise.  So, according to this account, all was in equilibrium.

Then Adam and Eve sinned.  Sin caused death.

Genesis 3:16-19  "Unto the woman he [God] said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.  And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;  Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;  In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return."

The Fall.

Either death caused man - or - man caused death.  It cannot be both.  One or the other.

Evolution (atheistic or theistic) contends that millions of years of death and struggle "improved" things, eventually bringing about humans.  But Biblical Creation theory contends that humans sinned.  God did not "get it wrong" or make design errors.  Au contraire!  Humans are born today into SIN.  Sin brings with it a host of devolved life problems:  biologically, psychologically, and spiritually, et cetera.

Is pain and death the result of God's errors down through time?  Or due to human sin, introducing imperfection?

Recall that evolution (theistic) means that God stood by and watched the suffering and death of innocent life forms for a theorized millions and millions of years.  What a weak god!  And how uncaring!  I do not believe in theistic evolution.  It is both bad theology and bad science, put together.

Creation though teaches that all was originally perfect, until disobedience entered the Creation.  There were no diseases, no death.  And it started about 6,000 years ago (by Earth time; distant star light can also be accounted for by creationists, of course).

All the major rivers have only been running for thousands of years (based on accumulated erosion and deposition); the Earth's spin is slowing a little each year; the oceans get a little more salty as minerals flow in but do not evaporate, like a planet-size distillation process, etc.  The Earth is NOT millions of years old, geologically-speaking.  And biologically-speaking, we are seeing life forms go DOWN, not upward.  Copying errors are increasing, with the help of solar radiation, et cetera.

=====

There was a large auto wrecking yard.  A few families lived there, for generations.  They worked there and over time they began to surmise things about all the cars they saw.

What a mess.

"They are idiots, you know," grandfather told them one day, "All the automobile manufacturers are plain idiots.  I been lookin' at these cars all my life.  And every single one of them is a wreck!  They don't know how to make the cars right, I tell ya!"

Grandpa proved it to them.  A few of the cars could still start, but not go anywhere.  Some were all crashed in on one side or the other.  The whole family shook their heads and laughed!  Why, they could build better cars than these.

"Look here at this one, the headlights come on and the horn works, but the driver's door won't close as it is all bent out of shape.  I tell ya, those car manufacturers don't have a clue how to make good cars!  Every single car we have ever seen - has multiple problems within its design and structure."

Grandpa decided to start teaching classes, laughing about all the errors.  Not a single auto was fully functional.  Intelligent Design?  Don't get me started!  ... (You can fill in the rest of the story, I am sure....)

Why, one might think that all the cars had fallen from their potential, or something like that!

Maybe they have never seen what the manufacturers are truly capable of...?

=====

Plumbobb - you and I were born into this spiritual wrecking yard.

Look at all the horrible pain and suffering.  Infants die.  Autism claims young lives.  So many diseases ravage distant lands.  And yet all die from something: cancer, heart disease, senility, etc.

This is not the way things were supposed to be.

You particularly mentioned how the human reproductive organs are near elimination channels.  That is an interesting fact.  In many societies, when their values turn upside-down, and sex becomes revered (and spiritual worship of our Creator gets ignored) then they are left to ponder why our Maker gave us this reminder regarding various levels of importance, compared to our total beings.

We are going down, not up.  Evolution is untrue.  The design errors are increasing as the generation count (the number of copies down) increases.  As a reasonably thinking architect (as you identified yourself), surely this could be considered, at least on a theoretical level.

You gave good examples.  I hope my quickly typed in response here gives you a sufficient creationist answer regarding these things.

Sincerely,   Paul Abramson
