Greek Versions & Bible Translations

Are there people out there who want to stop the Gospel?

Are there some pastors, priests and rabbis who are not saved?  And are there some seminary professors who pervert the Bible's message?

Well, some of the them have weaseled themselves onto Bible translation teams, using corrupted Greek and even inventing or changing Bible doctrines to suit their unredeemed beliefs.  They are Bible editors, not translators!

Many of the modern translations are missing key doctrinal Scripture verses, or the meaning is purposefully altered!

Did Jesus say that it is "hard to enter the Kingdom of God"?  Salvation through Christ is free, isn't it?

Mark 10:24 (KJV)  "But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!"

[2nd half of verse - Mark 10:24]
New Living  "Dear children, it is very hard to enter the Kingdom of God."
English Std.  "Children, how difficult it is to enter the kingdom of God!"
NIV  "Children, how hard it is to enter the kingdom of God!"
NET  "Children, how hard it is to enter the kingdom of God!"
NASB  "Children, how hard it is to enter the kingdom of God!"
AKJV  "Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!"
UKJV  "Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!"

Did Jesus come to "save us"?  How come some modern Bibles like to drop that out, and water down the Scriptures?

Luke 9:56 (KJV)  "For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them.  And they went to another village."

[Entire verse - Luke 9:56]
New Living  "So they went on to another village."
English Std.  "And they went on to another village."
NIV  "Then he and his disciples went to another village."
NET  "And they went on to another village."
NASB  "For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them. And they went on to another village."
AKJV  "For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them. And they went to another village."
UKJV  "For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them. And they went to another village."

Yes, Jesus did come to "save us"!  Here is another similar passage - notice what most of the modern Bibles have done!

Matthew 18:11 (KJV)  "For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost."

[Entire verse - Matthew 18:11]
New Living  [...removed from Bible...]
English Std.  [...removed from Bible...]
NIV  [...removed from Bible...]
NET  [...removed from Bible...]
NASB  "For the Son of Man has come to save that which was lost."
AKJV  "For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost."
UKJV  "For the Son of man has come to save that which was lost. "

Open your Bible and check for Acts 8:37.  In the (KJV) Holy Bible it states:  "And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God."

But some modern English translations, based on the corrupted (by Westcott and Hort, 2 non-Christian Greek scholars of the 19th Century) Alexandrian texts, omit this verse!

Also check - (KJV) Luke 11:2-3  "And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.  Give us day by day our daily bread."

Is the verse ALL THERE in your Bible, or not?

If verse 2 has been "abbreviated" in your Bible translation then some of God's Word has been removed from your Bible.  Why, what kind of persons would do such a thing?  Who would want to weaken the Bible?

Many of the modern translations want to REMOVE the entire last half of the last chapter of Mark.  See this article:  http://www.khouse.org/articles/2000/201/   Some of the modern (based on the Westcott &: Hort Greek) translations insert a note like: "These verses are missing (sic) from some reliable manuscripts." It is the opposite; it is a few corrupted ancient manuscripts (passed down by "scholars" instead of saints), that question and weaken the Word of God.

The terms: "essentially literal" or "dynamic equivalence" sometimes really means, "deception mixed into what was truth".  How about this verse?  Is it in your preferred study Bible?

Matthew 17:21   (KJV) "Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting."  Do demonic powers like to be kicked out?  Of course not!

Now then - just who would want to have verses like this one subtly removed from your Bible?
(Hint: Genesis 3:1a  "Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field...")

The corrupted Bible versions (based on the Westcott & Hort Greek) have removed FASTING and its importance!  The sin of sodomy has also been marginalized.  The power of the blood of Jesus is minimized.  They're pushing for a corrupted "weak God" Christianity.

Here is (KJV) Isaiah 14:12   "How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!"

But in the corrupted Bibles they are adding the word "star" to their unbiblical version of Isaiah 14:12.  Why?  "Star" is not in the Masoretic Hebrew, nor in the Greek Septuagint version of Isaiah.  That is a modern addition, not from translating the text but rather from the unbiblical beliefs within the heretics attached to the translation teams.

You see, JESUS is "the bright and morning star" - not Satan!

Revelation 22:16  (KJV) "I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star."

So why would some translators? (...rather, are they - Bible editors? ... and ones who are purposefully corrupting the Word?...) add a word to Isaiah, that has the effect of confusing Jesus with Satan?  It is a subtle change, like the work and words of the Serpent back in Eden.  The Word of God must be preserved, read, and used as it is - not as some would wish to change and corrupt it from the truth.

Some of the Bible editors have removed a variety of other verses from the Bible too.  Look for I John 5:7, a verse that makes the Christian doctrine of the Trinity clear.  (KJV) I John 5:7  "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one."

The corrupted Bible translations lead to confusion and error.  There is much more information on this topic.  Please see Dr. Kent Hovind's Seminar #7, www.drdino.com.  There are also a few books that are helpful.  Here are two titles:  "In Awe of thy Word" by Riplinger <http://www.avpublications.com/>, and "Gipp's Understandable History of the Bible" by Samuel C. Gipp.

There are several "updated" KJV versions out there.  One is from: www.livingwaters.com "Easy Reader KJV" (a.k.a. KJVER; ©2007)
And the second is called the "UKJV" (Updated KJV "UKJV" (Updated KJV; Public Doman; published in 2005) by "Anonymous", available in print via:  "Lulu" on-line publishers.
The third one is the AKJV (American King James Version), available on-line.
Here (#4) is the KJC (King James Clarified) Bible (New Testament only).  The AKJV may be the best one of these.
(Note that the translation called the "New King James Version" is actually not wholly based on the KJV.)  For your favorite Bible translation, (e.g. NKJV, NIV, NASB, Living, Amplified, or others) look up each of the sample Bible verses as shown above.

Some Bible translations are more accurate than others.  The KJV Bible of 1611 has stood the test of time!  And it is based on the Textus Receptus (in English: The "Received Text", preserved down through 2000 years, by the saints;  over 5000 manuscript portions).  But there is evil in the world.  And there is a second version of the "New Testament Greek"; one compiled by two superb Greek scholars in the late 19th Century:  Westcott & Hort.  But neither man was a Christian!  Westcott and Hort may have known Biblical Greek, but neither man knew the Lord.  They purposefully chose to elevate a few corrupted Greek manuscripts (from "scholars") over the Received Text (over 5000 fragments) preserved and used by believers since the time of the Apostles.

The Authorized Version of 1611, now handed down to us as KJV (or KJV-ER and U-KJV), is based on the Greek preserved by the saints.  All the verses are there and accurately translated.

Below is a severe warning:

Revelation 22:18-19  (UKJV) "For I testify unto every man that hears the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:  And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book."

For a good KJV study Bible (in English), the "Defender's Study Bible" is recommended; also "The Evidence Bible"; and the KJV version of the "Thompson Chain Reference" Bible.  Common English Bibles:  (ASV) American Standard Version; (AB) The Amplified Bible; (ALT) Analytical-Literal Translation; (CEV) Contemporary English Version; (ERV) Easy-to-Read Version; (ESV) English Standard Version; (GNB) Good News Bible; (GNT) Good News Translation; (JPS) Jerusalem Publication Society; (KJV) King James Version; (KJ21) King James for the 21st Century; (KJVER) King James Version Easy Reader; (MKJV) Modern King James Version; (NKJV) New King James Version; (LB) Living Bible; (MLB) Modern Language Bible; (NAB) New American Bible; (NASB) New American Standard Bible; (NCV) New Century Version; (NEB) New English Bible; (NIV) New International Version; Nearly Inspired Version; (NJB) New Jerusalem Bible; (NLT) New Living Translation; (NRSV) New Revised Standard Bible; (NWT) New World Translation (Jehovah's Witnesses); (RSV) Revised Standard Version; (TM) The Message; (TMB) The Third Millennium Bible; (UKJV) Updated King James Version; (WEB) World English Bible; (YLT) Young's Literal Translation of the Bible; ASV, NASB, ESV, GNT, NKJV, KJV, NRSV, NLT, RSV, TMB, TM, GW, CJB, Douay-Rheims, BBE, HNV, Darby, YLT, Vulgate, and WEB Bibles
